Our Mission
The mission of Beautifully Blind, Inc. is to bridge the gap between the sighted and visually impaired. Through education about blindness, grants for adaptive equipment, research, and support for blind persons and their families, we hope to help in leveling the playing field in social and professional arenas of life, as well as diminish the misconceptions of the blind and visually impaired.
Vision
The vision of Beautifully Blind, Inc. is to ensure the inclusion and recognition of individuals who are blind/visually impaired, within all aspects of life, by providing the necessary tools needed for societal self sufficiency.Organizational Goals
- To enhance the lives of those that are visually impaired/blind by providing technology and services that aid in independence.
- To advocate for inclusion by encouraging mainstream to continue to make strides in developing products that are accessible and by educating the community about blindness to dispel any misconceptions.
- To help the cause of finding a cure for optic atrophy.
- To provide support to visually impaired/blind individuals who are losing their sight or have lost their sight and their families.
